FCG International and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs chose ICE to collaborate with the Ethiopia Ministry for Education on improving capacity of Colleges of Teacher Education to introduce a pedagogical approach to inclusive education.
The project aimed to reduce inequality of people with disabilities and special educational needs.
We developed and delivered a national training programme to strengthen the capacity of schools, communities and resource centres to include disabled children.
This is what our clients say:
“Thank you giving us the seed for inclusive education across our regions. Personally, I want to commend Professor Michele Moore and ICE for giving us the way to inclusive education.”
Minister for Education, Ethiopia
“I can tell you I have really enjoyed being with you in those training days. You have done your best to enhance the thinking of teachers towards inclusive education using different strategies to get people pay attention to what you are trying to provide. You have imported positive power to change the way people think about inclusive education.”
Regional Advisor for Southern Nations Nationalities and People (SNNPR) | Ethiopia
“Oh we have learned such a lot from you. The training has given us much more than we possibly imagined.”
Regional Advisor for Oromiya
“We are 70 people in the training. If 70 people tell 70 people then 140 people will know. You have showed us we can get change very quickly. We want change”
